The guest country of 8th Bursa International Photography Festival is India this year… India is one of the counted countries that could be identified with “rituals” which is the theme of BursaPhotoFest this year.
Indian geography with its ancient traditions and rituals is one of the leading regions that has aroused great interest in the World community.
India is known through images of traveller photographers in our country. As the team of BursaPhotoFest, we intended to bring viewers and the deep rooted culture of India together through the eyes of Indian photographers. We think that these images with details that foreign photographers can’t easily notice, would open new horizons for photography enthusiasts.
This year, Studio Anugraha will attend BursaPhotoFest with the project consisting of 18 photographers' work, The Kumbh Mela Experience, which narrates amongst the greatest religious ritual in India that takes place in 4 places within a duration of 12 years and comes back to the same place every 12 years. Hari Mahidhar, Cömert Narmada and Sudharak Olwe with their exhibition entitled “Married to Their Goddess” will be at the Festival. Besides, Neesha Mewada will be giving a seminar at the Festival…
8th BursaPhotoFest will break new ground in our country with bringing different cultures together from different regions of the World.
